FAQ's

The Festival of Sails traditionally falls across the Australia Day Long Weekend.

RGYC has a comprehensive COVIDSafe plan for the event and aim to ensure the safety of all patrons. Compulsory signing in via the QR codes as well as COVID marshals will be in place.

The Festival of Sails waterfront entertainment on the Geelong Waterfront is free to attend for all patrons, with market stalls and food vendors selling their wares for your enjoyment. The Regatta Village precinct (inside the Royal Geelong Yacht Club) is ticketed after 5pm and wristband entry is required. There is no charge for entry, but a limited number of tickets are available for the general public.

The waterfront activities and events on Eastern Beach are open to the whole family. The Regatta Village Precinct (inside the Royal Geelong Yacht Club) is a licenced premises and is subject to liquor licencing regulations.

Parking is available along Ritchie Blvd and the surrounding streets of the Geelong Waterfront. Please check all signage to ensure you are aware of payments required and time restrictions.

Public toilets are located on Transvaal Square, at Eastern Beach Reserve, and in the Regatta Village.

There is an ATM located inside the RGYC Clubhouse, and one located near the Wharf Shed.
