The Festival of Sails set to keep children and adults alike dancing the long weekend away with headline acts such as Justine Clarke (Play School) and rockers Frankie J Holden and Wilbur Wilde poised to entertain the Geelong crowds.
The City of Greater Geelong will hold an Australian Citizenship Ceremony on Australia Day, as part of the Festival of Sails Week, at Waterfront Geelong. The ceremony will be held at 12Noonon the main stage and is open to the public, who can take the opportunity to witness around 35 of our newest Australians pledging their commitment to Australia. The process of applying for Citizenship would have commenced some months ago with persons making application to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, after meeting a residential qualifying period of at least 4 years, then undertaking the Citizenship Test and attending a series of interviews and follow-up checks.
Attending a Citizenship Ceremony is the final step in becoming an Australian Citizen.
