The Boating Industry of Victoria Incorporated (BIAV) is a not for profit organisation and the peak body representing the recreational and light commercial boating industry in Victoria. Our Executive, together with those from the BIAs from each state and the NT, form the national council, the Boating Industry Alliance. Yachting Australia is the national sporting organisation (NSO) for sailing, and peak body for recreational boating at Clubs, in Australia. It is one of over 90 NSOs recognised by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).
Yachting Australia is a Federation consisting of eight State and Territory Associations, often referred to as Member Yachting Associations (MYAs). In turn they have nearly 400 affiliated Clubs, who between them have approximately 60,000 registered on water members. Registered members receive a “Silver Card” in recognition of their club membership, and in the case of Club Officials and Yachting Australia Qualified Officials, Instructors and Coaches , this is a “Gold Card.”
Yachting Australia is a not-for-profit organisation governed by a voluntary Board with a mix of elected and appointed Directors. Yachting Australia operates in accord with its Strategic Plan, developed and agreed with the Member State Associations. This plan and its Annual Report and Financial Statements are published on the website.
Yachting Victoria is the peak body for sailing in the state of Victoria. Yachting Victoria works very closely with, and on behalf of, its 88 member clubs. Yachting Victoria is a member of sailing’s national peak body Yachting Australia.
As well as providing support and services to its member clubs, the focus of Yachting Victoria is to provide opportunities and avenues that encourage people to start sailing and then continue to do so. The app provides access to a powerful portable toolset, facilitating audit process management from start to finish. Our paper-free system allows all users to access their information securely from anywhere.
The notification system is a star component, powered through sophisticated transactional email services with 99.99% success rate. Most importantly, the app’s foundation is based on our core values.

Tourism Greater Geelong and The Bellarine is the Regional Tourism Organisation spanning from Werribee to Barwon Heads, incorporating Bannockburn, Geelong, Portarlington and all the areas in between.
Our core role is to increase tourism yield for our region. We do this, by making consumers aware of our region, bringing people to our destinations, getting them to stay longer and spend more.
We are a member-based organisation working in partnership with several municipalities across the region.
We operate with the support of three local governments in the region – City of Greater Geelong, Golden Plains Shire and the Borough of Queenscliffe.
Combined, we represent over 500 members from all aspects of the tourism industry. The Geelong Advertiser is a daily newspaper servicing Geelong, Victoria, Australia, the Bellarine Peninsula and surrounding areas. The Geelong Advertiser is the oldest newspaper title in Victoria and the second oldest in Australia.
The Geelong Advertiser is Victoria’s oldest morning newspaper, the first edition being published on November 21, 1840.
The first editions of the Advertiser, consisting of four pages, were published weekly from a four roomed house on the north side of Malop Street, between Yarra and Bellerine streets.
Within 10 years the Advertiser was being published daily, by which time the office had shifted twice.

Established by Directors Jav Greaves and Olympic Gold Medallist Mark Turnbull OAM, New Tack Consulting has strong experience in large scale yachting and boating events, as well as project consultation and development to the leisure, marina, resort and hotel industries. Between them, directors Jav Greaves and Mark Turnbull have over 20 years of expertise including marina development, management consulting, project management, campaign management and marine events. Past events include International, Australian and Victorian yachting and boating events and regattas as well as corporate sailing and team building days, and charity events.
Created by Lisa Ratcliff, On Course Communications is an established specialist public relations and event management business with more than 16 years’ experience.
Lisa has worked closely with Australian and international sports media since 1996. She has been covering the Festival of Sails since 2008 and is the current event media manager.
Key events in Lisa’s portfolio include the glamourous Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, Geelong’s Festival of Sails, Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race (1996 – 2011), and Surf Life Saving NSW’s state junior and open titles.
Writing on commission for magazines, including a monthly column in the ACP title, In The Black, and regular feature articles in Australian sailing magazines, and advising clients on their social media and marketing campaigns keeps Lisa busy in between events.
Official Photographer Teri Dodds has been involved with the event since 2003, and is frequently seen with her camera at major regatta’s on the East coast of Australia.
Her work is frequently in Australian and International magazines, and more recently earned the prestigious cover shot of Penfold Audi Sport, of the IRC Yearbook 2012.
Teri Dodds has sailed at RGYC since the early 1970’s with her family and her local knowledge and insight into this event, provides much support to the media team.
