Festival Of Sails

Imogen

Geelong songstress Imogen Brough is riding a wave of success all the way to the Festival of Sails’ Shoreside Festival.

At only 23 years of age, Imogen already has built an impressive career. Making her musical debut at six years old playing the piano, she began writing her own music as a 13 year-old, and toured Europe performing at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and Poretta Soul Festival in Italy as a singer with Geelong’s education based new soul group Sweethearts.

Imogen is an alumnus of Channel 9’s The Voice and has performed supporting acts for Irish popstar Brian Kennedy and Australian sweetheart Lisa Mitchell, all while also playing at festivals and shows across Victoria.

Her sound is influenced by the likes of Enya and Loreena McKennitt and her ethereal ballads are akin to chart favourite Florence Welch.

Imogen made her International debut with Heart and reached the top 10 in the singer-songwriter album charts on iTunes with her first EP Counting waves in 2012.

Her first studio album Into the Moonlight is out now, and don’t miss Imogen’s performance on the Steampacket Garden Stage on Sunday, January 24 at 8.15pm and Tuesday, January 26 at 2pm!
