VISIT GEELONG & THE BELLARINE

Here for the Festival, why not stay a little longer and soak up the good life in Geelong and The Bellarine? There’s so much more to Geelong than an excellent waterfront, but certainly a great place to start. There’s public art scattered across the coastline, best known for the bollards – the colourful characters who highlight historic events and people who shaped the city, with some of them coming to life through augmented reality.

The city’s cultural precinct at the west end of Little Malop Street will delight with the Geelong Gallery, the Geelong Library and the Arts Centre, while street-art laced laneways branch off, with night spots and exciting eateries popping up everywhere. Old industrial spaces are being transformed into creative hubs, urban precincts and fabulous dining hotspots.

Geelong has been reinvented.

Head to The Bellarine and wander down historic streetscapes and tee off at lush golf courses, perfect for summer afternoons. Explore the burgeoning foodie scene, complete with craft breweries, local wineries, farmgates and provedores. Surf, paddle and swim at the bay and ocean baches, and get close to local wildlife in Port Phillip Bay.

Come see Geelong and The Bellarine for yourself …. And stay a little longer….. See you on the coast!
