Singer–songwriter Ella Hooper will join The Voice’s Imogen Brough and Taxiride and a host of Australian talent on stage at this year’s Festival of Sails.
A Victorian local, Ella is well known as the former lead singer of Australian rock band Killing Keidi where she won four ARIA awards, and as part of acoustic duo The Verses alongside her brother Jesse Hooper.
She previously earned the coveted place as panel host on ABC’s musical quiz show Spicks and Specks as well as entertaining Sydney presenting on 2DayFM and most recently hosted backstage at the 2015 ARIA awards.
While you might not see her aboard one of the many yachts around Corio Bay, you might find the self-confessed landlubber turning her looking glass to the best wine and cheese in town.
Ella has been working on her solo career when not rocking the stage and released her debut album In Tongues in 2014 and her Venom EP in 2015. She will debut her EP New Magic at The Gasometer in Collingwood on February 18.
Be sure you don’t miss Ella Hooper perform at 8pm on Saturday January 23 on the Steampacket Gardens Geelong Advertiser Main Stage!
