This is your chance to perform live in front of thousands, share your original music, and be part of one of Geelong’s biggest summer celebrations.

Entries for the 2026 Emerging Artists Series have now closed. Join us at the Regatta Stage on January 24th and 25th to listen to up-and-coming artists and soak up the atmosphere.

Set on the Regatta Stage during the Festival of Sails, the series blends laid-back waterfront vibes with the excitement of live performance and discovery.

Perform at an iconic festival: your chance to take the stage live in a professional, high-energy setting on Geelong’s waterfront.
Reach new audiences: your music will be heard by thousands of festival-goers, with the chance to get more coverage from Forte and K rock 95.5.
Win great prizes: First prize will go home with $500, promotions in Forte and K rock 95.5, and a spot on the main stage at the 2027 Festival of Sails!

Event Details

When: Saturday January 24th and Sunday January 25th during the Festival of Sails weekend
Where: Regatta Stage, Royal Geelong Yacht Club, Festival of Sails
Who can enter: Solo performers or duos performing original material (all genres welcome)
Performance time: Approximately 20 minutes per act

Soak up the summer atmosphere as festival visitors enjoy local food, drinks, and waterfront views, while you bring the soundtrack to the waterfront.
