Royal Geelong Yacht Club

Royal Geelong Yacht Club (RGYC) stands proudly at the heart of sailing in Geelong. Located on Geelong’s iconic waterfront, the Club is home to world-class sailing, major regattas and a vibrant community of sailors, volunteers and visitors. 

As the home of Festival of Sails, RGYC provides the infrastructure, expertise and facilities required to deliver one of the world’s great sailing events. The Victorian Sailing Centre has further strengthened the Club’s reputation as a premier regatta venue, offering world-class facilities that support competitors, race officials and event operations while enhancing the experience for sailors both on and off the water. 

For more than 160 years, RGYC has been fostering a passion for sailing and creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in the sport. From grassroots participation and learn-to-sail programs through to elite competition and international events, the Club continues to play a leading role in the growth of sailing in Geelong and beyond. 

More than a yacht club, RGYC is a community built on a shared love of the water, bringing people together through competition, connection and a lifelong passion for sailing.
