Proudly sponsored by Forte Magazine and K rock 95.5, this competition champions local singer-songwriters and duos, giving fresh talent the spotlight they deserve. Set within the vibrant Tipi on the Bay setting at Fairnie Park during the Festival of Sails, the series blends laid-back waterfront vibes with the excitement of live performance and discovery.
- Perform at an iconic festival: your chance to take the stage live in a professional, high-energy setting on Geelong’s waterfront.
- Reach new audiences: your music will be heard by thousands of festival-goers, with the chance to get more coverage from Forte and K rock.
- Win great prizes: First prize will go home with $500, promotions in Forte and K rock, and a spot on the main stage at the 2027 Festival of Sails!
Event Details
- When: Saturday January 24th and Sunday January 25th during the Festival of Sails weekend
- Where: Tipi on the Bay, Fairnie Park, Festival of Sails
- Who can enter: Solo performers or duos performing original material (all genres welcome)
- Performance time: Approximately 20 minutes per act
Soak up the summer atmosphere as festival visitors enjoy local food, drinks, and waterfront views, while you bring the soundtrack to the waterfront.
