It’s Back: Festival of Sails 2027 Dates Announced

Mark your calendars! Festival of Sails is set to return to Geelong in 2027, bringing another unforgettable summer long weekend on and off the water.

From Saturday 23 January to Tuesday 26 January, the Geelong waterfront will come alive once again, as sailors, visitors and the wider community gather to celebrate everything that makes this event so special.

A highlight of the program, the iconic Melbourne to Geelong Passage Race will return for its 184th year, kicking off a packed schedule of racing that continues across the long weekend. Shoreside, the festival atmosphere will be in full swing, with live entertainment lighting up the precinct and a vibrant mix of pop-up stalls inviting you to browse, discover and indulge.

Across four days of sailing, the event will deliver a full program of competitive racing on Corio Bay, supported by a vibrant entertainment line-up across three nights on the waterfront. Community favourites such as SheSails and Come & Try Sailing will continue to feature within the broader program, with a strong focus on showcasing high-quality racing alongside a lively and engaging shoreside experience.

Festival of Sails 2027 is proudly presented by TLC Healthcare, with valued support from Visit Victoria and the City of Greater Geelong.
